Refund policy?

REFUNDABLE BOOKING /STANDARD RATE
The cancellation is free of charge 14 days prior to the date of arrival, after this time we charge you 100% the room rate as cancellation fee, if we could not sell the room.

NON REFUNDABLE BOOKING
For a Non – Refundable booking, no refund and no changes to the booking are allowed. In case of a no-show, Full amount is charged. A credit card number is required to confirm the booking. The full amount of the reservation will be charged on your credit card shortly after your booking is confirmed.

Modification of reservation
(*): According to the chosen rate and according to availability, a customer will be able to modify his initial reservation one time without expenses until 14days before the date of arrival by noon (Iceland time). After this period, the reservation is final and non-modifiable.

Access/Apartment keys.
Keys to access the Studio apartments can be found next to the entrance. 7 days prior to arrival, you will receive a code to the key-box. Upon departure, we ask our guest to leave the keys on the table in the apartment. Lost keys will incur a replacement fee of IKR 2.000.- per key. This fee also applies if you forget to leave the key during check-out. Kindly notice, it is essential that you provide us with your arrival time at Little White Castle, so that we may make the best preparations.

Non arrival/No shows
If you fail to arrive at LWC on the arrival date the entire reservation will be cancelled automatically by us and you will be charged the cost of the whole reservation. If you fail to check in on the first date but still continue your travel plan to stay at LWC, please urgently contact us so that we can keep the room for you for the rest of the nights. Otherwise as mentioned above, the entire reservation will be auto cancelled and no refund will be issued.

Booking vality
Booking confirmations are provided to you solely for your convenience. The Little White Castle retains records of all booking transactions including dates of stays and room rates. In the event of any discrepancy, alteration, modification or variation between your confirmation document and LWC’s official records, the LWC’s records shall prevail

Guest behavior
Guests are requested to conduct themselves appropriately at all times. Guests are requested not to disrupt the comfort and enjoyment of our neighbors other guests, the smooth running of LWC, or cause offence to other guests or our members of staff.
We reserve the right to refuse accommodation or services or remove you and members of your party from LWC if, in our reasonable opinion, we consider this provision to have been breached. Where this is the case we shall have no obligation to refund you for lost accommodation, other services or any other loss or expense incurred.

Cancellations by LWC
On rare occasions we might need to cancel your Booking. In such circumstances you will be given a full refund but we shall have no further liability to you arising out of such cancellation. We will, however, use reasonable endeavors to try and re-locate any confirmed Booking cancelled by us to an alternative location similar in standard and price to the Little White Castle.

Car Parking
Car parking is available free of charge infront of LWC but it is limited. Please note all vehicles are parked entirely at the guest’s own risk.

Cooking in the apartments
Studio One is equipped with a small Kitchenette, intended only for preparation of light meals and or reheating of premade meals. The Garden Studio is equipped with a full kitchen. Kindly familiarize yourself with listed amenities for each apartment on our website.
As much as we would like you to make the best of our kitchenette in Studio One and the fully equipped kitchen in the Garden Studio, we would like to inform that we do not accept heavy cooking that includes excessive use of oil and spicy ingredients such as curry and other spices causing strong odors. This will not only damage our interior but will also disturb other guests. Failure to comply with our cooking policy will result in a charge based on the costs of extra and/or special cleaning.

Special requests
Once booked, any special request should be made to us by email or phone. We cannot guarantee that your request will be possible or honored. We will do our best to accommodate your request and we only ask you to provide reasonable notice, so we can assist with any special requests. You agree that any full or partial failure to fulfil a request, outside the LWC’s normal inclusions, will not lead to a refund being owed.

Lost and found
Little White Castle assumes no liability for lost, misplaced, stolen, or damaged valuables or belongings. If you discover that you have left behind something of value to you, please call us immediately (+354) 861-6811 and we will try to assist you in locating your lost item. If we find items left behind after guests departure, we inform the guest by email.

Force Majeure
Little White Castle will not be liable for any change or cancellation of any booking or payment that is caused, in whole or in part, by events, occurrences, or causes beyond the control of LWC. Such events, occurrences, or causes include, without limitation, acts of God, terrorist activities, weather, strikes, lockouts, riots, flight delays, acts of war, and any earthquake, volcanic activity, ash clouds, fire and explosions, whether occurring near the LWC or at any other location worldwide. We encourage you to secure a sufficient travel insurance policy prior to traveling.

Insurance
Guests are advised to ensure that their own insurance covers any loss or damage to personal property as well as LWC’s property and interior during their stay. Furthermore, guests are advised to ensure that they have adequate personal and travel insurance.

Damages
We do our best in creating an environment that lives up to our guests expectations. LWC reserves the right and you hereby authorize LWC to charge your payment card for any damage incurred to your room or the Little White Castle during your stay (including specialist cleaning) or for any items that are missing when you leave.

Governing law and jurisdiction
This Contract is subject to the laws of Iceland where Little White Castle is located. All disputes, conflicts and claims arising from or in connection with this Contract shall be settled amicably by the Parties. Should the Parties fail to reach an amicable settlement, the matter shall be submitted to the competent court at Little White Castle’s domicile.

Website information
While all reasonable efforts have been taken to ensure the accuracy of information on the Website, Little White Castle does not accept responsibility for errors or omissions and reserve the right to amend, cancel or vary any of the arrangements featured on the Website without notice.  Please note that in certain circumstances, generic photographic images have been used to represent the general style of a particular product or accommodation. Any copyright and other intellectual property in the content and materials on the Website or at the LWC remains with LWC. Downloading, copying or otherwise using any material from the Website is permitted solely for private use for the purpose of booking your stay with LWC.  Trade marks used on the Website are the property of the respective owners. Hyperlinks to third party websites are provided for your convenience. We cannot accept responsibility for the content or use of third party sites.
The Website is operated by the Little White Castle.

Limitations
Neither the Little White Castle nor any other third-party suppliers related to the LWC online booking and payments, are responsible for any communication malfunctions, failures, difficulties or lost, stolen, or misdirected transmissions, messages or entries, or the security of communications. Neither the LWC nor any other suppliers are responsible for incorrect or inaccurate entry information, whether caused by user(s), by any of the equipment or programming, or by any technical or human error that may occur in the processing of any information. The Little White Castle shall not be liable for any such damages whatsoever resulting from any of the foregoing situations.
Little white Castle may cancel, modify and report bookings to the relevant authorities, when it appears that a user has engaged in fraudulent, criminal or other inappropriate activity or under other circumstances where it appears that the bookings contain or resulted from a mistake or error. You are advised that Little White Castle may have CCTV cameras outside in shared areas and you understand that recorded footage may be shared with law enforcement agencies as required.
